Come back home to your body.
Our challenges do not define us.
For about half of my life, I struggled with orthorexia, which is a form of an eating disorder where one obsesses about “health”. For me, it was paired with several hours of daily exercise, and obsessive thoughts about my body and food. My life felt restrictive and small.
I was diagnosed with SIBO (small intenstinal bacterial overgrowth) and several other gut difficulties, adrenal fatigue, amenorrhea, decreased bone density, and hypothyroidism. In addition to the physical complications, I realized I needed additional support for my mental health. There was something about the physical sensations in my body that I could no longer ignore.
My Healing Journey and Approach to Movement
I have learned the importance of language, how we communicate to ourselves and each other, and the importance of being kind to our bodies and all that they do to keep us alive.
My classes and private offerings incorporate movement, breath work, and meditation to encourage overall mental health and well-being. I strive for my students and clients to feel a balance of being challenged in a supportive way and empowered.
My retreats and workshops are created to foster a nurturing environment, with delicious home made meals and treats, varied styles of yoga, meditation, and time to rest and play.

When I am not instructing yoga classes, workshops, and retreats, you can find me hanging with my sweet puppy Gertrude Lucia (“Gertie”), baking/cooking, riding my longboard, laying on the grass, taking a dance class, and adventuring in nature.
